	science We are collaborating with leading biotech researchers to develop a new platform for the analysis of cellular physiology.       This platform identifies biologically relevant patterns in the complex data sets produced by advanced proteomics, genomics, and metabolomics instruments.		proteomics, biomarkers, and diagnosis Insilicos analyzes biology, primarily with pattern recognition, to determine the differences between health and disease. A method for determining health vs. disease is called a biomarker. Biomarkers are used to diagnose disease and to determine if a patient is responding to a drug. Biomarkers are also used in drug research and other biological research to understand the behavior of biological systems.       Insilicos concentrates on in vitro biomarkers. The patient supplies a small amount of a bodily fluid, such as blood. The blood is then analyzed, typically with a technique called mass spectrometry. Normally, most of the information produced is about the patient's proteins, so this approach is called proteomics.       A list of poster presentations is available.
